Miraval Austin opened in February 2019 on the former Travaasa site above Lake Travis, Miraval's second resort after Tucson, bordering the Balcones Canyonlands Preserve in the Texas Hill Country. Its guest rooms were designed by Hart Howerton, and the Life in Balance Spa, by Clodagh, covers 20,000 square feet with 30 treatment rooms. The treatments are rooted in the place. In the Wild Harvest Herbal Healer, guests pick herbs on the farm for their own massage; Pranayama-ḍīna pairs breathwork with a floating massage; the Spiritual Warrior Facial is made with laurel; and new in 2026 is the Crossings Ceremony, an Ayurvedic and somatic ritual with marma-point massage. The 10-acre Cypress Creek organic farm supplies Hilltop Crossings Kitchen and hosts beekeeping workshops, and the riding programmes are as much about self-knowledge as horsemanship. As at every Miraval, stays are all-inclusive, with meals and the daily activity schedule. September is Yoga Month, and October and November bring the Season of Gratitude. Guests must be 18 or over, which keeps the pace unhurried, and the Hill Country views over the lake do the rest.
