The yacht lines, in their own words
Four Seasons Yachts: Four Seasons I set sail on March 20, 2026, from Málaga to Malta, marking the 65th anniversary of Four Seasons. Built by Fincantieri, with interiors by Tillberg Design of Sweden under creative director Prosper Assouline, she takes her cue from Onassis's yacht Christina O, and the line claims 50 per cent more living space per guest than any competitor at sea. There are just 95 suites for no more than 222 guests, with one member of staff for every guest, and the four-level Funnel Suite covers 9,975 square feet. Eleven restaurants and lounges include Terrasse, Miuna for omakase and Sedna, where a Chef-in-Residence programme brings guest chefs including Christian Le Squer of Le Cinq in Paris, which holds a three-MICHELIN-star rating.
PONANT Explorations: PONANT sails a fleet of 12 French-flagged ships, from six 184-guest Explorer-class yachts and four 264-guest Boréal-class ships to its flagship, Le Commandant Charcot. Charcot stands apart. She is the only passenger ship with a Polar Class 2 hull, able to break multi-year ice, and the first hybrid-electric polar ship powered by liquefied natural gas, and on September 6, 2021, she reached the Geographic North Pole. On board, 245 guests are looked after by 215 crew, with around 20 nature guides, interiors by Jean-Philippe Nuel and Jean-Michel Wilmotte, a heated open-air pool, a snow cabin and Le Nuna, the only Alain Ducasse restaurant at sea.
