The practice
Planning from the United States
Many of the households the practice works with live in the United States.
The work is the same wherever you live: a first conversation of about thirty minutes, a longer brief, a design shaped around your household, and every property briefed in writing before you leave. The same person looks after you from the first reply to the trip after next.
How you pay
Journeys are paid to Colletts Travel Limited, the licence holder in London, in pounds sterling or US dollars as suits the booking. You see the full price before you confirm anything.
Booking terms
Every booking is made through Colletts Travel Limited and governed by its booking terms, which set out the financial protection that applies to your booking.
Time
I work from London. For most of the year London is five hours ahead of New York and eight hours ahead of Los Angeles. For a few weeks in March, and again around the turn of October into November, the gap is an hour shorter, because the clocks change on different dates in the two countries.
My core hours are 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. UK time, which for most of the year is 5:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. in New York and 2:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in Los Angeles. Outside those hours I answer whenever I can, and WhatsApp reaches me on the same number.
