Mii amo

  • Virtuoso
  • Best time: Year-round; programmes at equinoxes and solstices
A wide valley of green scrub between red sandstone cliffs and buttes.

Mii amo opened in 2001 in Boynton Canyon, among the red rocks of Sedona, and reopened in February 2023 after a two-year renovation and expansion by Gluckman Tang that grew the resort by more than 40 per cent. With only 23 casitas and suites, it is one of the most intimate places in our collection. Stays are booked only as all-inclusive Journeys with fixed arrival days: two nights from Sunday or Tuesday, three from Thursday, four from Sunday, seven from Thursday or Sunday and 10 from Thursday. Each Journey includes three meals a day at Hummingbird, a daily spa credit, consultations, talks and fitness classes, with taxes, gratuities and fees included. The spa has 21 treatment rooms, among them a sound lounge and dry float tables, and treatments such as Soul Consciousness and Intuitive Massage run for 75, 100 or 125 minutes. At its centre is the Crystal Grotto, a domed, earth-floored room built around a petrified-wood pedestal and a lit quartz crystal. There are more than 50 movement classes a week, a Sensory Garden with a reflexology path, and programmes timed to the equinoxes and solstices. It is a Forbes Five-Star resort for guests aged 16 and over.

Insider tip Each Journey is shaped around the guest in a conversation with the team about intentions before arrival, so give that call real thought.
