Villa Eden places longevity and preventive health at the heart of an intimate, medically guided retreat in Merano, South Tyrol. Founded by Karl Schmid in 1982 and now run by his daughter Angelika, the adults-only property combines personalised health programmes with the privacy of 25 suites for a maximum of 40 guests. At its centre is the Villa Eden Longevity Institute, under the medical direction of Dr Emanuele De Nobili. Programmes including The Eden Discovery and The Eden Blueprint bring together medical assessment, tailored treatments and individual lifestyle guidance, with an emphasis on understanding each guest's health and supporting long-term wellbeing. Eden's Park Restaurant uses seasonal ingredients and produce from the retreat's own garden, with detox dining adapted to guests' programmes, and The Tasting Room by Marcello Corrado offers a separate fine-dining experience. The setting is an Art Nouveau villa in a private park, with the Alps behind. Suites range from 35 to 100 square metres, several with terraces overlooking the grounds, and indoor and seasonal outdoor pools, a Turkish bath, a whirlpool, infrared facilities and a sauna in the park sit alongside the medical programmes.
