Aman Rosa Alpina stands in the village of San Cassiano in Alta Badia, in the UNESCO-listed Dolomites. It began as a 1930s mountain lodge and reopened as a full Aman after a renovation led by Jean-Michel Gathy of Denniston, who kept the chalet exterior and reworked the interiors in wood and stone. There are 51 rooms and suites, from Superior Rooms of 40 square metres to the 158-square-metre Aman Suite with two bedrooms, each facing the village or the forest. The Grill serves Mediterranean dishes from a live grill, family style, and Enju offers Japanese shabu shabu, with Il Salotto, a cigar lounge and the Di Vino Room for wine tastings. The Aman Spa covers 1,684 square metres over two levels, with seven treatment suites, indoor pools, a 20-metre heated outdoor infinity pool and saunas. In winter, guests ski the Dolomiti Superski area from the Piz Sorega lift, 300 metres away; in summer and autumn there are guided hikes, mountain biking, via ferrata routes and golf.
