Villa Dolmen is a seven-bedroom house on Mykonos with long views over the sea and the sunset, and a characterful architecture and interior all its own. Its centrepiece is a 26-metre infinity pool that can be heated, with an open pool bar and an outdoor lounge, complete with shower, beside it. A second, smaller infinity pool sits on an upper terrace. In the main house, two master suites have their own sitting rooms and open onto the main terrace, and three more guest rooms have their own entrances from outside. Two further bedrooms are in a separate building with a small pool, which suits older children or friends who like their own space. A shaded pergola covers the outdoor dining table, and there is a barbecue, a playroom with a home cinema, gyms indoors and out, and a massage room. Staff live in, housekeeping is daily, and a chef can cook every meal. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, and the house sleeps 14.

- Seven bedrooms, for up to 14 guests
Insider tip If you are travelling early or late in the season, ask for the main pool to be heated before you arrive; it is done on request.
Why I choose it A large, fully staffed house with room for 14 and real space to spread out, suited to families and groups of friends who want Mykonos without hotel life.
