Parilio opened in July 2019 between Kolymbithres beach and Naoussa, created by Kalia and Antonis Eliopoulos, whose family also runs Vedema, Mystique and Istoria on Santorini. Its name joins Paros with ilios, the Greek for sun, and its logo comes from the Fat Lady of Saliagos, a Neolithic figurine found on a nearby islet. The owners' own Athens studio, Interior Design Laboratorium, designed it, with ceramics from the Marrakech studio LRNCE, around a cross-shaped pool framed by two great rocks. It has grown from 33 suites at opening to 46 suites and villas, and is a member of Design Hotels. Restaurant Parōn is led by chef Yiannis Kioroglou, and Elios Spa, with four treatment rooms and a heated jacuzzi, uses plants and herbs native to the Cyclades. The hotel keeps a 40-foot catamaran for days at sea around the island, and holds Green Key and ISO 14001 certification. It opens from early May to mid-October, and June and September are the gentlest months. Jupiter Villa, the largest, has five king bedrooms across 180 square metres, with a private pool on a garden terrace.
