Eliamos Villas Hotel & Spa stands on a hillside above the sea at Spartia, on the south coast of Kefalonia, looking out over the Ionian Sea and the olive groves around it. The owner is an interior designer, and the villas combine clean contemporary lines with handmade materials. There are 12 villas and suites, from a 57 square metre sea view suite to a three-bedroom villa of 214 square metres, each with its own heated pool, several of them salt water. Olais, the restaurant, serves seasonal Greek and Ionian cooking in an open-air space shared with the bar, with a weekly Kefalonian barbecue, Robola wine tastings and private dinners in the villas. The two-room Eliamos Spa opens from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and yoga, reformer Pilates and an open-air wooden gym face the sea. Activities include private sailing and RIB trips to Ithaca and Zakynthos, kayaks, guided walks on Mount Ainos and complimentary electric bikes. The hotel is a member of Relais & Châteaux.
