The Royal opened on December 11, 1998, the twin towers at the heart of Atlantis, joined by the 10-room Bridge Suite with its grand piano and 22-carat gold chandelier. The Imperial Club opened on the 19th floor of the East Tower on May 1, 2026, after a major renovation programme across Atlantis. We include it for its work in the ocean. The Atlantis Blue Project Foundation, founded in 2005, has helped rescue, rehabilitate and release more than 7,500 sea turtles and has put more than $5 million into coral reef research and restoration; the Bahamas Coral Gene Bank holds up to 600 coral colonies from 15 species, and the foundation set up the country's first sea urchin nursery. It has helped conserve more than 1.4 million acres of marine habitat and donated more than 8,000 young mangroves since 2010. Atlantis runs the only marine mammal stranding response facility in the Bahamas, is accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums and Global Humane Certified, and cares for more than 250 species. Beneath the lobby lies The Dig, a marine habitat, Royal guests have unlimited access to Aquaventure, and the Mandara Spa is on site.
