The Reef at Atlantis

Paradise Island Lighthouse at the entrance to Nassau Harbour.

The Reef opened in 2007 as part of the third phase of Atlantis, alongside The Cove and Dolphin Cay, and was renovated by Hirsch Bedner Associates in 2019. Its 497 studios and one- and two-bedroom suites have kitchenettes or full kitchens, which makes longer family stays easy, and the Penthouse Suites have two bedrooms. Every stay includes unlimited access to Aquaventure: 141 acres and 20 million gallons of water, a mile-long Rapids River and the Leap of Faith, a 60-foot near-vertical slide from the Mayan Temple through a shark lagoon, for riders from 48 inches. Reef and Cove guests also have the Cascades Pool to themselves. Atlantis Kids Adventures takes children aged three to 12, CRUSH is a 14,000-square-foot club for nine- to 17-year-olds, and at Dolphin Cay, a 14-acre habitat accredited by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums, children aged six to 10 can be a trainer for a day. The marine habitat holds more than 250 species. For celebrations there are more than 20 ceremony and reception spaces, along with 21 restaurants, 19 bars and a 30,000-square-foot spa.
