Sunset over the sea and the rocky shore of Grand Cayman.

The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman opened on December 15, 2005, on a 144-acre estate running between Seven Mile Beach and the lagoon, with interiors by Champalimaud Design. It is the only hotel in the Caribbean to hold Forbes Five-Star ratings for its hotel, spa and restaurant, and it is an AAA Five Diamond resort. The restaurant is Blue by Eric Ripert, led by executive chef Michele Tenzone, and each January Ripert himself hosts Cayman Cookout, one of the leading food festivals in the region. Seven, Taikun, Saint June and Andiamo Circolo Sportivo round out the dining. The spa has been rebuilt from the ground up, with treatments by 111SKIN and ESPA, and a nine-hole golf course designed by Greg Norman sits within the estate. For large parties, Seven South is billed as the biggest suite configuration in the Caribbean, almost 18,000 square feet with up to nine bedrooms. Families are well looked after, with a children's water park and Jean-Michel Cousteau's Ambassadors of the Environment programme. With 365 rooms and suites, the resort received one MICHELIN Key in 2025, a first for the Caribbean.

Insider tip For families: children have their own water park and pool, and beach toys are ready and waiting on Seven Mile Beach.

Why I choose it A family resort on Seven Mile Beach with Blue by Eric Ripert; Cayman Cookout each January is worth planning a trip around.
