Raffles Jaipur stands at Kukas, between the old Pink City, UNESCO-listed, and the Aravalli Hills. It is a new building in the manner of a palace, worked in white marble and modelled on a zenana, the women's quarters of a Mughal palace, with domed chhatris, arches, atriums and carved jaali screens. Local artisans made much of the decoration by hand. All 50 rooms are suites, each with a private balcony, and every suite has either a plunge pool or an outdoor soaking tub; some look out to the hills. Butlers look after the suites. On the roof is an infinity pool facing the Aravalli range, with a bar and torch-lit seating. Arkaa serves progressive North Indian food with tableside service, the Writers Bar mixes its Jaipur Sling in a pale blue room, Safir pours tea and champagne, and Sehara is the pool bar. Raffles Spa has hot and cold mineral pools, yoga and a gym. The hotel holds Two MICHELIN Keys for 2026, its second year in a row.

Insider tip Ask for a suite facing the Aravalli Hills and take a sunset drink by the rooftop pool.
Why I choose it A calm, newly built base outside the old city, with suites large enough to rest in between long days at the forts and bazaars.
