Meneghetti is a working wine estate a few minutes inland from the Adriatic, in the countryside near Bale, near Rovinj and Pula on the Istrian peninsula. At its centre is a 19th-century stone farmhouse, and around it the property has grown into a small, self-contained village of cream stone, surrounded by some 40,000 vines and 700 olive trees. Rooms and suites are spread across the old house, a modern addition and a newer building, with exposed beams and long views, and there are estate residences, houses and two restored villas that can be taken whole. The estate makes 13 wine labels as well as olive oil and spirits, and guests can taste them at scheduled sessions or with lunch and dinner. The Meneghetti restaurant and the Oliveto restaurant and bar both cook around what the land produces, and there is a wine lounge for the evening. Three pools suit lazy afternoons, and walking and cycling routes run through the vineyards and hills. In summer a shuttle runs to the estate's beach club on the sea.
