Enchantment Resort covers 70 acres at the foot of Boynton Canyon, a secluded box canyon among the red rocks of Sedona, and each of its 218 casitas, suites and villas has a fireplace, a vaulted ceiling and a private patio. It is a natural base for the desert on foot or by bike. Guests ride straight out onto almost 400 miles of red-rock trails, and Trail House, the resort's outdoor hub, runs guided hikes and rides as well as day trips to the Grand Canyon and Antelope Canyon. More than 100 activities run each week, from free stargazing with the resort's astronomer twice a week to an Artist Cottage and golf at Seven Canyons. Che Ah Chi, meaning red rocks, holds a 2026 Wine Spectator award, and Tii Gavo, the gathering place, serves Southwestern dishes around a firepit. Resort guests can also use Mii amo, the Forbes Five-Star destination spa that opened in 2001, whose Crystal Grotto is aligned so that the summer-solstice sun strikes its quartz crystal; Mii amo welcomes guests aged 16 and over. The resort's Boynton Canyon Preservation Fund works with the U.S. Forest Service to care for the canyon's trails.

Why I choose it Red-rock hiking and biking from the door, with Mii amo for recovery. Summer highs reach the 90s°F, so spring and autumn are the seasons to go.
