  • Open year-round
The ruined castle on its limestone outcrop at Les Baux-de-Provence.

Domaine de Manville began as a farm estate created in 1908 by Louis-Alexandre Blanc de Manville, and opened as a hotel in 2015 under its local owners, Edith and Patrick Saut, whose beekeeper grandfather once kept hives on the land. It covers 247 acres in the Alpilles Regional Natural Park below Les Baux-de-Provence, with 30 rooms and suites and nine villas, the villas with full kitchens and their own wine cellars. It suits families of every size, with Family Loft and Family Duplex Suites, a four-bedroom villa, and a kids' club in a painted caravan that runs gardening and nature workshops for children aged three to 12 at weekends and in the school holidays. Three pools, one heated, allow swimming all year, and there is a 10-seat private cinema. The 18-hole golf course was the first in the region to hold ECOCERT certification. At L'Aupiho, Lieven Van Aken holds a MICHELIN star, cooking largely from the estate's permaculture garden. Celebrations are a speciality, with weddings, birthdays and bar mitzvahs for up to 250 guests and rooms for 150. The Domaine holds One MICHELIN Key.
