Megève under fresh snow, the ski slopes above the chalets.

Four Seasons Resort Megève stands on the slopes of Mont d'Arbois above Megève, a village that has drawn society for a century. The resort carries the legacy of the Edmond de Rothschild family and is run as a partnership between Four Seasons and the family behind the village's growth. Designed as a contemporary Alpine chalet at 1,300 metres, it has ski-in, ski-out access in winter and, in summer, opens directly onto the 18-hole Mont d'Arbois course that Henry Cotton laid out in 1964. Rooms are finished in pine with Alpine detail, heated floors and marble bathrooms with deep tubs, and each has a balcony or terrace facing the mountains. The spa, the largest in the region, has heated indoor and outdoor pools, and children have a kids' club and a teen zone. Brasserie Benjamin cooks French classics, Kaito brings Nikkei flavours, and L'Idéal 1850 is a mountain restaurant at 1,850 metres looking across to the Mont Blanc massif. The cellar holds more than 17,000 bottles. The resort opens for the winter and summer seasons and received the French Palace distinction in June 2026. There are 55 rooms and suites, and it holds Three MICHELIN Keys.

Insider tip It is the only hotel in Megève with its own ski shop, ski valet and ski-in, ski-out access, and in summer the first tee of the 18-hole course is at the door.

Why I choose it A new French Palace on the slopes of Mont d'Arbois: ski-in, ski-out in winter and golf from the door in summer.
