La Villa stands on the hillside of Notre-Dame de la Serra above Calvi, in the Balagne of north-west Corsica, looking over the bay to the citadel. Pine woods surround it, and the town is minutes away. The 48 rooms and suites are spare and light, in whites and earth tones, most with a private balcony and many facing the sea; the hotel also has two apartments and a villa. Five pools are the signature here, from a lap pool and a children's pool to an infinity pool that looks out to the water. La Table by La Villa is the bistronomic restaurant, with Mediterranean cooking and a view of the citadel, and La Terrasse, the pool bar and Jo's Bar cover the rest of the day. There is a hammam, and there are Pilates and aquabike classes, a gym and a tennis court. Beyond the hotel, days run to the private beach, mountain biking in the hills and boat trips along the coast. It is a seasonal hotel, closed through the winter months.
