Four Seasons Hotel George V has stood a few steps from the Champs-Élysées, in the Golden Triangle of the 8th arrondissement, since 1928. Behind its Art Deco facade, Pierre-Yves Rochon redesigned the rooms and suites in a Louis XV register, with the ideal Parisian apartment in mind; rooms measure nearly 40 square metres, and the Penthouse has a terrace facing the Eiffel Tower. Jeff Leatham, the artistic director, fills the lobby and the marble courtyard with flowers, and the cellar holds some 50,000 bottles. The George V was the first palace in Europe with three starred restaurants under one roof. Le Cinq, under Christian Le Squer, holds a three-MICHELIN-star rating; L'Orangerie, under Bertrand Noeureuil, a two-MICHELIN-star rating; and Le George, where Simone Zanoni cooks light Mediterranean dishes with produce from his own organic kitchen garden, a one-MICHELIN-star rating. Afternoon tea is served in La Galerie and cocktails in Le Bar. The spa opened in 2018, covers 720 square metres and has a 17-metre pool. There are 243 rooms and suites, and the hotel holds three MICHELIN Keys.
