Casa Angelina

Casa Angelina stands on the cliffs of Praiano, one of the quietest and least changed villages on the Amalfi Coast, a few minutes from Positano yet well away from its crowds. It feels more like a private home than a hotel: a white-on-white building by the local architect Marco De Luca, calm and full of light, with the sea in view from almost everywhere. Service is the point here, personal and intuitive, with real care over the smallest details. The 36 rooms and suites take adults and children from 12, and Paola Lenti's furniture and design run through the hotel, from the two signature suites, Vermarine and Azure, to the Terrazza Costiera, the Seascape casual dining restaurant and the Deluxe Corner Sea View rooms. Art runs through the house, with works by the Cuban artist Alfredo Sosabravo, The Garden Terrace, between the main building and the beach level, opens onto a public path through Mediterranean planting down to La Gavitella beach, while across the road from the entrance the Cliffside Garden grows many of the seasonal vegetables and herbs for the kitchens and keeps the hotel's chickens. On the top floor, chef Leopoldo Elefante holds a MICHELIN star at Un Piano nel Cielo, cooking the flavours of Campania with the coast below, and the spa uses Augustinus Bader. The hotel is certified to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council's standards and runs a 2026 programme of the coast's living traditions, from lampara lantern fishing to Amalfi paper-making.
