1 Hotel Hanalei Bay stands on a bluff in Princeville, across the river from Hanalei Beach on Kauaʻi's North Shore. Formerly the St. Regis Princeville, it reopened on February 15, 2023, after a full transformation, across 23 acres with three oceanfront pools, including an infinity pool, six restaurants and bars, among them 1 Kitchen and the Welina Terrace rooftop lounge, and an organic garden on the property. Its wellness offer is among the most technical in Hawaii. More than 20,000 square feet of spa and fitness space include the first Bamford Wellness Spa in the islands, on the ninth floor, and Anatomy Fitness, 10,000 square feet indoors and out. Therapies range from flotation and hyperbaric oxygen to cryotherapy, compression, a Sunlighten infrared sauna, Dreampod ice baths and meditation pods. The partners are Carole Bamford, Marc Megna of Anatomy and Dr Betty Dilley of Vitality Kauaʻi, and integrative doctors and meditation guides are on staff. Hurricane Lowell struck Kauaʻi on September 7 and 8, 2026, and closed the resort; North Shore arrivals are expected to resume in October. There are 252 rooms and suites, and the resort holds one MICHELIN Key.
Closed after Hurricane Lowell in September 2026. Reopening to be confirmed.
