Perth

A two-hour private walk through the city, a day on Rottnest Island by ferry, and a private seaplane south to the wineries of Margaret River. In Margaret River, an Aboriginal guide can lead a walk foraging native bush foods, with traditional flavours tasted from the campfire. Four nights leave time between the outings. At Vasse Felix, Margaret River's founding estate, a private tour behind the scenes with a winemaker can be arranged, ending in a tasting of the Vasse Felix Collection.

The Adelaide Hills

A flight to Adelaide. Cleland Wildlife Park before it opens to the public, with a host: hand-feeding kangaroos and emus, then time with a koala keeper among koalas rescued from the Kangaroo Island fires. At Penfolds Magill Estate, two hours through the original winery, vineyard and underground drives end in a private tasting with Grange at its centre. A day in McLaren Vale beyond the cellar door can also be arranged with a well-connected local, through the ancient landscapes of Onkaparinga Gorge to a private tasting with the winemakers in the 1840s homestead of their vineyard estate, then lunch on the clifftops and rare release wines in a private cellar on the Fleurieu Peninsula. Walks or e-bikes in the hills fill the rest.

  3. Three nights on Satellite Island in the D'Entrecasteaux Channel, reached by sailing boat from Hobart with a picnic on a secluded beach on the way, the island yours alone to walk, fish, snorkel and kayak, with a private chef, a bonfire at the water's edge and a private lunch at the local salmon and oyster farm.

This is a sample. The hotels, the pace and the order are where we start, not where we finish: every journey is designed around the people taking it.

Made around you

Most travel is bought. This is designed.

Before anything is booked, we talk: who is travelling, how you like to spend a morning, and the hotel preferences below the obvious, from the kind of bath you like to the time you wake and how much daylight you need in a room. You see options where options matter and clean recommendations where they don't.

The same person remains your point of contact from the first reply to the trip after next. No handovers. No team.
