Secret Bay stands on a clifftop promontory near Portsmouth, on Dominica's north-west coast, where the rainforest runs down to the Caribbean. It is a resort made only of villas, and each one has a plunge pool, open-air living space, an outdoor shower and a villa host. The range runs from the one-bedroom Ylang Ylang Villas to the raised, multi-level Ti-Fèy Villas, with the original Zabuco villa set on a rocky point at the very end of the headland. Beds are carved from local red cedar, and kitchens are fitted for a private chef to cook in the villa. Two small beaches lie at the foot of the cliffs. There is a restaurant cooking with fish from local fishermen and produce from island markets, a rooftop bar and a spa built in the style of a treehouse. Days can be as active as guests like: rainforest walks, cave swimming, night snorkelling, kayaking through mangroves and yoga. For a celebration the whole resort can be taken for up to 80 guests, and neighbouring villas can be joined into estates.
