Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo has stood on Casino Square beside the Casino de Monte-Carlo since 1864, and it is still the grand hotel of the Principality. A 21st-century renovation by the architect Richard Martinet and the interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon restored the Belle Époque palace in a contemporary key, with suites of unusual size, among them seven Diamond Suites, two named for Princess Grace and Prince Rainier III. Dining leads. Le Louis XV, Alain Ducasse à l'Hôtel de Paris, holds a three-MICHELIN-star rating, and on the eighth floor Le Grill, under chef Dominique Lory, holds a one-MICHELIN-star rating beneath a sliding roof with views over the sea. Cédric Grolet serves afternoon tea in the patio, musicians play each evening at Le Bar Américain, and Em Sherif cooks Lebanese dishes from April to October. Under the gardens lie cellars of some 400,000 bottles. The rooftop Wellness Sky Club covers 860 square metres and connects to the 6,600-square-metre Thermes Marins Monte-Carlo, and guests can use the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, between a pine wood and the sea. There are 206 rooms and suites, and the hotel holds three MICHELIN Keys.
