Eden Roc Cap Cana sits within the Cap Cana estate at the eastern tip of the Dominican Republic, between the Caribbean and a landscape of palms and lagoons, and Virtuoso notes that it is the only member of Relais & Châteaux in the country. The resort has two parts. Inland, some 300 metres from the beach, are 34 standalone pool suites around gardens and lagoon-style pools, with interiors by the Milanese designers Carlo Belgir and Marina Nova in the spirit of the Italian and French rivieras. On the sand, the Beach Club has 26 beachfront two-bedroom suites, oceanfront pool bungalows, an infinity pool and a private beach, and there are five villas of three to 11 bedrooms. Every guest has a golf cart. Mediterraneo is the fine dining restaurant, with a menu that changes with the season and a terrace over the pool; La Palapa is by the sea, and BLUE pairs fusion cooking with a show kitchen, wine display and cigar cellar. The Solaya Spa covers about 20,000 square feet, the kids' club has its own play area and small spa, and the Jack Nicklaus course at Punta Espada runs along the cliffs nearby.
