Cheval Blanc St-Barth began in 1991 as the Hôtel Saint-Barth Isle de France on Flamands Bay, and reopened under LVMH's Cheval Blanc name in 2014, the year after the group bought it. In 2016 it was given Palace status, and Michelin describes it as the island's only certified palace. Jacques Grange designed the ocean and beach rooms, and the property also carries the touch of Madison Cox and the artist Jean-Michel Othoniel. The spa is by Guerlain, with treatments found nowhere else in the Caribbean, in rooms redesigned by Isabelle Stanislas. Langosteria, the Milanese group's first restaurant outside Europe, opens on October 22, 2026, with interiors by the studio Festen, alongside La Cabane on the beach, the Tiki Bar and Le Kiosque bakery. Rainwater gathered in cisterns supplies the whole property, and children are made especially welcome, with turtles often wandering the tropical gardens. For families and groups, the Villa de France has five bedrooms for 10 guests across 650 square metres on two floors, with two infinity pools, a private spa room, its own kitchen and direct access to Flamands Beach.
