The Boca Raton began on February 6, 1926, as Addison Mizner's Ritz-Carlton Cloister Inn. Its Beach Club, built in 1980, reopened in January 2025 after a full redesign, part of a transformation of the whole resort, and it now presents itself as a 2026 Forbes Five-Star Beach Club, with 210 rooms and suites, Grand Suites opening onto private poolside lanais, three private pools and half a mile of private beach. Few resorts cater to every age so thoroughly. The Banyan Bunch kids' club takes children aged four to 12, The Break is for 11 to 15, and there is a teen Game Loft, while on the main campus the Harborside Pool Club adds a 450-foot lazy river, two five-storey slides, a pirate-ship splash zone and a FlowRider. At the beach there are wave-runners, banana boats and surf lessons, a Cabana Club by Vilebrequin and Spa Palmera. Marisol, led by chef Johnny Spero, serves Mediterranean cooking, and Onda opens each winter with guest chefs. A century of history and the size of the resort make it a natural stage for a family milestone.
