Six Senses Krabey Island opened in March 2019 on a private island of 30 acres in the Gulf of Thailand, about five kilometres off Ream National Park on Cambodia's south coast. Guests check in at a mainland lounge, about 10 minutes' drive from Sihanouk International Airport, and cross by speedboat to the island. There are 40 free-standing villas set into the tree canopy, each with its own pool and a green living roof, many with views over the sea; the MICHELIN inspector notes that from inside a villa it is easy to feel the island is yours alone, and praises the beds and the Sleep With Six Senses service. Tree Restaurant serves a modern take on Khmer cooking, AHA faces the ocean, and there is also a bar and a deli. The Six Senses Spa sits at the centre of the island, with Khmer massage and Cambodian healing treatments drawn from the sacred Kbal Spean River, and there is a hillside infinity pool. Guests walk or ride golf carts along the paths; a shoreline boardwalk leads to a sheltered beach with watersports, and there is yoga, kayaking and a sunset cruise on the Gulf.
