The Carlton stands above Lake St. Moritz, a five-star house of the Tschuggen Collection and a member of The Leading Hotels of the World and Swiss Deluxe Hotels. Its 60 rooms and suites all face south, over the lake and the Engadin valley to the mountains, and all have been refreshed and refurnished within the last three years in a warm, richly coloured style. At the top, the Carlton Penthouse Suite runs to 386 square metres, one of the largest in the resort. Butlers look after the rooms. Food is a serious reason to stay. Da Vittorio, run by the Cerea brothers of the Italian family restaurant of the same name, holds a two-MICHELIN-star rating for Italian cooking, while the Grand Restaurant works with regional produce and wild ingredients from the valley, and the Bel Etage and its sun terrace serve afternoon tea with the lake below. The spa spreads over three floors with mountain views, a pool, a sauna and treatment rooms for massage. The hotel now opens for the winter season only, and the coming season runs from December 11, 2026, to March 21, 2027.
