Capella Bangkok opened in 2020 on the east bank of the Chao Phraya, the group's first hotel in Thailand, and Michelin calls it an urban resort in the truest sense: landscaped gardens, a pool, several restaurants and a spa, 10 minutes on foot from the Old Town. Every suite and villa faces the river. Rooms start at 61 square metres, with hand-carved wooden screens, walk-in closets and marble bathrooms with freestanding tubs. The seven villas on the water's edge, each of 259 square metres, add private gardens, separate living and dining rooms and an outdoor jacuzzi plunge pool with a daybed by the river; the two-bedroom Presidential Villa runs to 595 square metres. A greenhouse garden supplies herbs and edible flowers to the kitchens. Côte by Mauro Colagreco serves Riviera-inspired cooking and holds a two-MICHELIN-star rating, while Phra Nakhon offers seasonal Thai menus with a focus on the south, cooked beside the river. There is a teahouse by a lily pond, a cocktail bar lined with gold murals, and Auriga Wellness, which offers the traditional Tok Sen massage. Michelin raised the hotel to three Keys in 2026.
