Park Hyatt Bangkok opened on May 12, 2017, on the site where British ambassadors once held their garden parties. It fills the upper floors of Central Embassy, the twisting figure-of-eight tower clad in aluminium tiles designed by Amanda Levete's AL_A. Yabu Pushelberg designed the interiors, and the 222 rooms, 32 of them suites, are among the largest in the city. The 40-metre saltwater pool, with a 25-metre infinity-edge lap section, looks out over the skyline, and the PAĆPURI Organic Spa offers rituals rooted in Thai tradition. AvroKO designed Penthouse Bar + Grill, which fills the top three floors and is the most dramatic setting in the hotel for a birthday or anniversary dinner. For larger celebrations, 12 event spaces cover more than 2,000 square metres, with wedding services on hand. Families have connecting rooms and babysitting rather than a children's club, which makes this a hotel for a milestone, or for families with older children exploring the city. Bangkok is most comfortable in the cool, dry months from December to February, and September is the wettest. The hotel holds Two MICHELIN Keys.

Why I choose it A Two MICHELIN Key setting for a Bangkok milestone. There is no kids' club, so it suits older children.
