Bogotá

An evening arrival. The next morning, Paloquemao market and its 1,200 stalls of fruit, flowers and local food, then the Botero Museum, where an expert on Botero can join you with personal stories of the artist, and the Gold Museum, and dinner in Zona G or Zona Rosa. The hotel can arrange a private tour of the Salt Cathedral at Zipaquirá, built underground in a salt mine, or of the lagoon at Guatavita, the lake of the El Dorado legend, or a Four Seasons helicopter to Villa de Leyva and Barichara.

Subject to availability.

Ways to make it yours

  1. A day at the La Trinidad coffee farm outside Bogotá, for the harvest and a tasting.
  2. An early start from Bogotá for Chingaza National Park, a páramo above 3,000 metres, home to the Andean bear and white-tailed deer, trekking by Monteredondo to Laguna de Chingaza on trails chosen for the season.
  3. A rum and chocolate tasting in Cartagena in place of the salsa class.

This is a sample. The hotels, the pace and the order are where we start, not where we finish: every journey is designed around the people taking it.

Made around you

Most travel is bought. This is designed.

Before anything is booked, we talk: who is travelling, how you like to spend a morning, and the hotel preferences below the obvious, from the kind of bath you like to the time you wake and how much daylight you need in a room. You see options where options matter and clean recommendations where they don't.

The same person remains your point of contact from the first reply to the trip after next. No handovers. No team.
