Singita Boulders Lodge stands on the boulder-strewn banks of the Sand River, in Singita's privately owned reserve of 45,000 acres within the Sabi Sand. There are 12 suites: seven River Suites, three Bush Suites and two Family Suites, and each opens onto a private deck with a heated plunge pool. The Family Suites have a main bedroom and a twin bedroom, each with its own bathroom, for two adults and two children, with an outdoor dining and lounge area around a stone fireplace. Children over the age of 10 are welcome; whether they join game drives is at the guide's discretion, bush walks are for those aged 16 and over, and a Mini Rangers course and babysitting are offered. Premium wines are included in the rate, there is a Premier Wine Boutique, and a wine experience is among the activities, with wellness and fitness facilities and yoga; treatments are charged as extras. Meals are taken on the outdoor dining patio or at a stop in the bush. Flights from Johannesburg take about an hour to Singita's airstrip, about 10 minutes from the lodge; by road the drive is about six and a half hours. There are no arrivals or departures on Christmas Day or New Year's Day.
