Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, the Roman jeweller's eighth hotel, fills the 40th to 45th floors of the Tokyo Midtown Yaesu tower, within walking distance of Nihombashi, Marunouchi and Ginza, with views over the Imperial Palace gardens and, on clear days, to Mount Fuji. Antonio Citterio and Patricia Viel designed the interiors in a modern Italian manner with a Japanese accent, and glass walls frame the skyline from each of the 98 rooms and suites, up to the Bvlgari Suite of more than 400 square metres. On the 40th floor, Il Ristorante Niko Romito holds a one-MICHELIN-star rating for contemporary Italian cooking overseen by Romito, from a vegetable soup made without water to spaghetti with concentrated tomato. Sushi HÅseki is an eight-seat omakase counter facing a small Zen garden, the Bvlgari Bar serves aperitivo on an outdoor terrace, and Bvlgari Dolci sells chocolates and pastries. The Bvlgari Spa covers 1,800 square metres, with nine treatment rooms, a mosaic-lined 25-metre indoor pool and a vitality pool. Service runs to check-in in the room, packing and unpacking and a Berluti shoeshine, and 15 sets of connecting rooms suit families.
